About HARC

The Highline Amateur Radio Club or HARC strives to render public service through Amateur Radio. HARC also wishes to bring together radio enthusiasts to enjoy this exciting hobby in the surrounding communities.

From helping the cities and individuals during emergency situations, to properly configuring Radio Controlled devices, listening to Shortwave and Scanning activities, HARC primarily represents the cities associated with Highline: Burien, SeaTac, Des Moines, Normandy Park, and the North Higline area of Unincorporated King County.

HARC wishes to be part of our communities by actively participating in public events, and increasing public awareness of Ham Radio.

Whether or not you are a licensed amateur radio operator, or just have a general interest in radio and want to know more, you are encouraged to review this website, ask questions, join in on one of our meetings or groups, and become a member.

One important aspect of amateur radio is the development of Emergency Communication Teams for one's city. The Highline ARC supports emergency communications. For details about this, see the "Join a local EmComm" link.

At any time, you can leave a message for the club or member by clicking on the "Contact Us" link on the top menu.

Enjoy your visit

HARC History

HARC was formed in 2008 by a consortium of Ham operators living in the Highline WA area interested in having a local club.
